I received this straightener for Christmas in 2007. It was highly recommended at the salon where my mom and I go. One of the stylists has recently used it on a customer and the customer was so pleased, she came back to buy one the next day. My mom purchased one for me for Christmas so I started using it December 25th, 2007. On February 22nd, my straightener stopped working. It would no longer turn on. I tried pressing every button, resetting it, trying different outlets. My mom returned the iron and found out that every straightener the Salon had sold was returned after 2 months of use for the very same reason. I really liked the straightener for the two months I had it but do not buy it. It is not worth the money for only two months of use! I had never dropped my iron or misused it in anyway because I go to college in another state and knew how hard it would be to return it if it broke. I always put it in its protective case after it had cooled and never wound the cord around the base of the instrument.
