I paid $99 dollars for a green one today at the mall. Wish I had done some research.

I just purchased my Cortex (purple...had no other choice) from Marshalls. I paid about $30 for it. I wasn't necessarily looking for a new flat iron, but when I saw how tiny and slim it was I upgraded. The price was alluring as well. I am a sucker for a discount. I have fine, medium-short hair. This iron straightened my hair in no time. The hair felt smooth going through the iron and looks good so far on a fairly humid day.

I purchased a pink Cortex Professional Flat Iron last week from a the Ala Moana Shopping Center in Hawaii. The demo left my hair feel soft & silky. I have a Sedu Ceramic Iron and the high humidity never allowed the hair to stay stright throughout the day. My only regret is that I now feel that I was grossly ripped off. This website indicates that this iron is now selling for under $60. I paid a whopping $200 and didn't even receive an promotional hair product item. While I'm all for getting what you pay for, I feel that the vendor who sold this to me should be ashamed of themselves.

I bought my pink professional mark Cortex Int. flat iron at Winners for $34.99 Canadian and I am very impressed! It heats up to 410 degrees F. and is an awesome flat iron at an awesome price. I recommend this flat iron to anyone who straightens their hair. I use it every day at the hottest setting and my hair is not drying out. It heats up very fast and even though I have course hair to the middle of my back, I can do my whole head of hair in only a few minutes! This is by far the best investment I have ever made in flat irons!
