OMG... I love this flat iron. I have had it for about two years and it just stopped working for me. I replaced with a very expensive GHD and can't even compare. I have curly hair and the PM straightened the first time every time. Can't say that about the new one. I want another PM and can't find one to purchase. Makes me very sad.

I've had this iron for about a year now and it is perfect. I have fragile baby-fine natural blond hair that is also slightly damaged from dying low-lights, and this flat iron treats it really well. I also use a heat protectant so that damage is minimized. Its so wonderful! I highly recommend this iron to anyone who is looking to buy a good quality one. Also, in comparing this one to a Chi iron, these are much more durable, as Chis cords tend to break easily.

I absolutely love my paul mitchell flatiron! i've had it for about a year now. my best friend who works at a salon sold me her old one for a great price and it still works wonders on my super curly, highlighted hair. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a flatiron that does an excellent job on dry, curly, unruly hair!

Best Iron Ever. I had it for about five years and it finally broke a few weeks ago. I had it all throughout college, and I dropped it sooo many times. I never had any problems with it at all. I have super thick curly hair, and this is the only iron that worked for me. I bought a Solia right after my paul mitchell brokes, and I am already shopping for a different straightener.

I had this iron less than 2 yrs and only used it once a week, on average. One day while using it, smoke and FLAMES started spitting out of the cord where it connects to the iron. MAJOR FIRE HAZARD! I called PM cust svc and they say not a known problem, but I've realized otherwise by all the bad reviews I've seen. They also have discontinued the product and changed manufacturers. I don't think this is a coincidence. I think the product should be recalled due to safety.
