The pivot point for the iron makes it so the part of the iron closest to the pivot point gets more heat than the end. Hair tends to get stuck in the crease of the flat iron as well. I used this iron once and ended up tossing it because it wasn't worth the damage to my hair. Note: always choose an iron with a hinge at the opposite end of the plates rather than in the middle.

I have had this iron for YEARS now, and it has worked wonderfully! It is the first iron I ever had and the last so far. i highly suggest it, it is a bit heavy but it does a good job and you get used to the weight quickly. I do not know if they have changed the way they make these irons from when I first got it, But mine looks a good as new still.

I've had a babyliss flat iron for at least 7 years. I must say that it has last the test of time and does the job every time. When I bought it, it seemed a bit pricey, but you can't beat the price simply because of its durabilty. I've considered buying a different, smaller, more popular straightener, but you can't go wrong with this product. The only down side to this straightener is that its a bit heavy and takes a while to heat up.

I've had this flat iron for about a year now its a pretty good iron but it takes a while for it to actually straighten it the way i want to heat up.

This is an alright flat iron, but hey, you get what you pay for right. I must say, this flat iron did an awesome job at straightening my hair, and i have very thick and wavy hair. However, ater only 2 months the ceramic coating started to wear off in spots causing severe damage to my hair. The company i bought the iron through is amazing, giving me my money back and helping me choose something of much better quality with solid ceramic plates was a big help.
