I had a babyliss for 4 years. it would have lasted longer but i dropped it. it was very good and never gave me problems. well worth the money . i have been reading reviews and by far does the babyliss beat out all of them. i will by a new babyliss to replace the one i dropped. i bought one for about 120 and it lasted 4 years that pretty good and i will continue to by this brand.

Paid about $160cdn for this iron about a year and a half ago and it's still going strong despite tons of abuse. Could not imagine keeping my insanely thick, coarse, wavy hair at its current length without it (Wish I could show before and after pics). Several friends are now hooked as well. The only problem I had was that the paint chipped a bit when I used a really abrasive scrubber sponge on it to take off the residue from the ton of product I was using (which can turn the white surface brown)If you are gentle and clean it often there should not be any problems. If my iron ever craps out I can guarantee you that a new one will be in my hands in no time.(pssssst..I tried the chi but the babyliss suited my hair better..not a single wave or kink)

Love my BAB2559

I purchased the BAB2559 in Summer 2005. I use this flat iron weekly for the last 5-6 months and it's wonderful. I have lots of med-fine hair with a fair amount of crazy movement - prone to frizz. I use a lot of serum and my Babyliss and it's smooth as silk and stays that way until wet again.

If you have fine, wavy hair this product is for you. On the other havd if you have thick, curly hair like i do it is not worth the money. the flat iron does not heat up enough and leaves your hair with plenty of frizz. instead of the Babyliss flat iron, invest in a professional straight iron such as a CHI iron.

Babyliss is great because its so light weight and the temperature settings are great for my super-curly, super-thick hair. The one thing that drives me nuts though is if you put in too much hair, strands will get caught between the plate and the plate base (the black part) and its a real pain. Put in the right amount and its pretty good.
