reason why i like this wigo iron is it won't burn my hair, that's the basic i buy an iron, can't believe the one I bought before this wigo, it burnt my hair so bad, JC!!!

I have wavy/curly hair that never stays straight. I bought the digital iron for 89.00 and realized it took four passes to straighten my hair. After about six months the coating on the plate started to flake off into my hair and off of the ceramic plates. Then about two years later the flat iron broke. I didn't drop it or anything...it just won't come on and their 3 year warrenty requires a reciept....yeah like I have that lying around.
My rating...wouldn't buy another one...I'm here to look at better options for my money.

I have had this for a little over two years. My hair is kind of wavy and frizzy. It used to be very long, and this worked great. However, in May I cut off ten inches and now my hair is shoulder lenghth. I haven't liked it since I cut my hair. It works better on long hair. The ceramic is starting to chip off and it smells terrible. I figured the smell was just because it was new, but it still smells two years later.

I have had this iron for 3-1/2 years now and have had no problems with it at all. It heats up quickly and is extremely hot. I have long, below the shoulder thick hair and the only negative I can say at all is that I wish it had a comb built in to the iron. It is flat on both sides and I have to be careful to not place too much hair in the iron or it will pull my hair. Other than that, I love it. It works well with BioSilk products used to keep the hair straight and the serum to keep my hair shiny. Would buy another Wigo tomorrow if this broke today.

I don't think this iron is that bad - it gets very hot and it straightens my hair. However, I have tried other brands (even cheaper brands) that have gotten my hair even straighter than this one. I've already spent $80 so I might as well use this one for now but when it breaks I will try a different brand. Again, this iron isn't terrible but for as much as it cost - I would recommend you try another brand. Try Hot Tools.
