better than average

it works well enough for me, I'm not the girl of high-requirement. this flat iron could straighten my hair effectively, and leave with luster, of course it's not better than other $200s flat irons, but it's better than average, i think. and it's also the one that should be recommended, good things are always supposed to be shared with others *_*

One necessity I couldn't live without..

I got this straightener when I was a hair model at a convention, in 1994 (I was 14). I'm 22 now and still love it. However, it is the 2nd one I've had. When I purchased the iron, it came with a lifetime warranty. I spent a one time payment of 150 and had my last one replaced when it stopped working. I didnt have to pay for any charges. I just sent the old one to them and they sent me a new one. That was probably about 5 years ago. Ive been using the same one since. Its great! Heats up to maximum heat in no more than 2 minutes. Long cord which is great. Easyn to use. It was worth my money.

I have had mine for over five years now and it still works well! I love my flat iron. I have very spirally curly hair. The trick is to blow dry your hair with a round brush first, then iron it. Afterall, this is not a miracle working device - you have to help it out a little! I live in the deep south, with thick humidity most of the year and I can go outside all day and my hair will still look fabulous for dinner. If you have a ton of course hair - it's going to take a little longer for the iron to maintain it's heat, you can't expect any flat iron not to! I've found it helps to use thin sections starting from the neck working to the crown and combing the sections and holding that tight and smooth, then iron gripping the tip at the end of the iron tightly and slowly move down the hair shaft while directing the hair in the direction you want it to lay. Comes out silky and delicious ever time!

this one works well for me

I've had this flat iron for 4+ years and it works perfectly for me. It still gets VERY hot, it takes a maximum of 2 swipes to get it straight. Some ppl say it takes many swipes, etc but you have to understand that after each swipe, the plates cool down, and every few minutes it cools down and then heats up again, so you have to use it when it's hot otherwise it WILL take a long time. You just need to understand the process the iron goes through and it will work perfect for you.

Good Iron, but doesn't last

I have purchased tow of these flat irons...I really liked the wider plate since I have long hair, the scissor style and the extra long cord...but both irons died after about a year. Too expensive not to last longer...I am going to try a new brand
