I would not reccomend this flat iron for anyone with frizzy, wavy hair. I have thick, coarse, frizzy,wavy hair and it hardly takes any of the frizz out. It is also difficult to use since you have to put a lot of pressure on the tabs at the end of the plates to get it to close tightly on your hair. I also think that even with longer hair that the 1" plate irons are easier to work with. My cousin has a CHI 1" which I use whenever I go there and I love it! My hair stays straight and smooth and very soft whenever I use her CHI until it is washed...even in Houston humidity. I am getting myself either a CHI or the FHI(if I can find a way to check it out). I can't comment on the duarability since I have rarely used it...I found it useless and time consuming. Until I get a Chi I find my professional curling iron working much better that this flat iron.

I got it for christmas and it burned out like 3 months ago, I rarely straighten my hair, it is really thick and long. I pretty much used it to straighten my bangs because it would take to long to do my whole head. Somehow I beat it up enough to last a a few months. I took excellent care of it too, im so bitter!!

I don't know what everyone is talking about but mine lasted for a year and 3 months!! It works great on my curly frizzy hair and it gets hot FAST. I have dropped it on my tiled bathroom floor numerous times and it was still perfect. Not only that theres been times when i've accidently left it on all night and it's still hot in the morning. As of this month though one plate stopped heating up but I'm not dissapointed, i've had it forever.

This Flat Iron is a joke! Yes it worked well, while it lasted, which was less than 6 months. I bought this flat Iron in August, and it burned out in December. The coating on the Ceramic began chipping off, then the cord fell out and it burned out. I probably flat Iron my Hair maybe 2 or 3 times a month, so their is no reason for this to have happened. Don't waste your money, you might as well buy a cheaper flat iron, so even if it does burnout in 4 months like thisone, you won't be out of as much money.

What are all these people talking about? I have the frizziest, thickest hair ever, almost an afro, and it works wonders on my hair! I've had it for roughly a year now and it works just as great as it did when I first got it. I loooove it!!!
