ok, so i got this a year and a half a go, and t recently just broke, like, completely. one of the handles i dangling off, but still useabl =]. but for a few months i've been having a hard time opening it after i closed it. i would lock and it was annoyingto have to manually open it. i paid $20 for it, so i guess i got what i paid for. i dont know what to get next. but it's damaging if you don't use a serum before you use it, veeeery damaging. my mom told me my hair looked like a broom, noe good. but when i used the serum, it looked fine. so i would recoment it for fairly straight to wavy and average thickness hair

ive had this flat iron for 3 and 1/2 years and it works the best ive used it on all types of hair course, curly and frizzie hair and it works good on all types of hair who ever says it dont work must have sum really messed up hair

I've had this one for at least 3 years now and it still works perfectly. It's awkward if you have short hair (I just got a bad cut and the bangs are too short to straighten now), but I suppose you'd get that with any larger flat iron. I have had no problems with this flat iron since I got it. It heats up quickly, and it's easy to use.

I guess I shouldn't have expected too much for $20. I only had it for about 3 months when it died out, it wouldn't stay heated it, it would ge insanely hot and then turn cold. It didn't work too well on the whole straightening thing either...and when i eventualyl got my hair straightened it was gone the second wind blew my hair. It also did nothing about frizziness or anything. It made me realize that an expensive flat iron is a much better investment and totally worth the money

Well, I have the Conair very similar to this one. I've had it for 3 years and it still works, but I've used a Chi before and there is a HUGE difference. I'm looking to buy a better iron right now in a modest to moderate price range. I would tell someone with fairly straight hair to purchase this, because it would probably work fine for them. But if your hair is the least bit wavy, it takes forever and a day to get through it all. Good luck!
