It works fine with my hair. I am Asian and have thick hair (each hair is normal, but volume is big). This is my first hair iron, and I don't think I need to get another one. My hair stays straight even next morning!!

This is my first flat iron. I also have nothing to compare it to except the flat iron used at the salon. I think it does an exceptional job and I even have my friends borrowing it to try it out. I wonder about the difference with the x stlye hand compared to the v shaped flat irons. This is an excellent buy for the price!!

This is my first flat iron so I really don't have anything to compare it to but I am very happy with the iron. I got the same results with the Conair as the much more expensive brand my hairdresser uses. No frizz, love it!!

DON'T BUY

Previously to trying the Conair Ceramic flat iron, I tried the Conair Straight Styles pro flat iron, which worked awful on my hair. I bought this other Conair product for a few dollars more, raising my expectations. This one doesn't work much better than the other one. It takes a minute to heat up and even after I run it through my hair a few times, it's still not straight. Maybe this is because of the fact that I have thick, wavy hair, so this may be more suitable for people with a thinner, finer hair texture. Also, whenever I go outside, it gets frizzy and curly very quickly and easily. I encourage you to buy a product that may be a little beyond your budget, because at least your hair will be straighter for a much longer period of time than the Conair Ceramic flat iron.
