I've had this one for at least 3 years now and it still works perfectly. It's awkward if you have short hair (I just got a bad cut and the bangs are too short to straighten now), but I suppose you'd get that with any larger flat iron. I have had no problems with this flat iron since I got it. It heats up quickly, and it's easy to use.

I guess I shouldn't have expected too much for $20. I only had it for about 3 months when it died out, it wouldn't stay heated it, it would ge insanely hot and then turn cold. It didn't work too well on the whole straightening thing either...and when i eventualyl got my hair straightened it was gone the second wind blew my hair. It also did nothing about frizziness or anything. It made me realize that an expensive flat iron is a much better investment and totally worth the money

Well, I have the Conair very similar to this one. I've had it for 3 years and it still works, but I've used a Chi before and there is a HUGE difference. I'm looking to buy a better iron right now in a modest to moderate price range. I would tell someone with fairly straight hair to purchase this, because it would probably work fine for them. But if your hair is the least bit wavy, it takes forever and a day to get through it all. Good luck!

this is one of the worst thing you can but, its ugly, makes your hand get tired,it makes your hair smell, breaks easily, bad results, bad results dont even last 30 mins. after this horrible mess i got a herstyler iron at the mall for 100 dollars. its amazing, almost no damage to your hair, excellent results the last for days!,leaves your hair shiny, soft, and managable. this is a much better investment. and for even better results try the CHI straightening serum or spray and the KMS flatout serum or spray! this is a much better investment. you can also go to ebay.com and look for these irons for 20-60 dollars! but you have to have a credit card and a paypal account its really easy and tottaly safe and worth 100% of your time!! :]

Love it! It was affordable and heats up quick. The large plates make it easy to iron entire head in matter of minutes. I have long (mid back), thick, mostly straight hair. It takes me less than 5 minutes with partially wet hair to completely style and dry. I love the comb feature as it prevents tangling and accidental crimping!
