The first one I bought just stopped working after 3 months. I bought another because it was the cheapest iron that would straighten my thick wavy hair. I purchased it about 6 months ago and last week I went to use it and literally burned my hair off! It was on a medium setting and my hair fizzled when I ran it through. The worst part is there is no way to repair hair this damaged, I just have to wait for it to grow out. My advise, DO NOT SETTLE FOR THE CHEAPER OPTION!!! I called to complain and they asked me to send in the straightener- I am still waiting to hear back from their "service department" before they can comment.

If I were you i wouldnt buy it, all thoe it heats up FASTT.Save your money up an get somthing else. Why not buy it?..It pulls your hair..it burnt your hair.an its dosent stayy straighten half the dayy! Unless you have the thinnest hair in the work dont buy it. Saidly if you want a good straightner then you'll end up paying about $90-100(or higher)

My sister and I both use this iron and we have slightly wavy to straight hair, not too thick. It heats up really fast, it gets hot enough and does the job. It's just a little too heavy and wide if you have short hair, but if you want to do your whole head, it's quite effective. Been using it for over 2 years and it's still in great shape. For those complaining of burtn smell, that's normal. Happens when you use styling products, it melts on the plates. You just have to wipe them off.

I HAD THIS FOR LESS THAN 9 MONTHS AND IT WORKED FINE UNTIL THIS MORNING. IT ACTUALLY MELTED MY HAIR AND BURNT A HANDFULL OF MY HAIR OFF.

This flat iron works well on thin/fine hair types but if you have thicker hair I would by a more expensive, higher quality flat iron. I have thick wavy hair and it takes forever to straighten with this product..about an hour or so and even then its still not perfectly straight.My friend uses it also. She has thinner hair and it works for her. I bought a CHI flat iron a while ago that works much better on thicker hair and cuts my straighting time in half with better results also
