Works for thin/fine hair ..Not for thicher hair

This flat iron works well on thin/fine hair types but if you have thicker hair I would by a more expensive, higher quality flat iron. I have thick wavy hair and it takes forever to straighten with this product..about an hour or so and even then its still not perfectly straight.My friend uses it also. She has thinner hair and it works for her. I bought a CHI flat iron a while ago that works much better on thicker hair and cuts my straighting time in half with better results also

Works fine for me.

I've had this for a little over a year now. My hair is shoulder-length and REALLY thick and wavy/curly. The plates aren't too thin for my thick hair, and my hair is straight in less than 25 minutes. The plastic construction seems a tiny bit flimsy, but I treat it well, and it's not breaking apart or anything. The burnt smell is there, yes, but it leaves almost immediately, and since I put a finishing serum on, my hair never smells like I flat ironed it. Great for the price.

i dont like the straightener to be honest. i have really thick curly hair. so my hair is pretty hard to straighten. the first week i bought this and used it, it was great. but then after it just burnt my hair and left it all fried. it has a gross smell to it. dont buy this straightener. well if you have realy fine, thin hair then buy it, other then that DO NOT BUY IT.

Well I bought this thing two years ago. I don't use it everyday but I use it about four times a month at most. Anyway I have really thick hair, and it's long. It takes about 30 minutes to straighten it when I'm not watching tv, and it's pretty awesome. I bought it for 22 bucks at walbaums lol, and it hasn't died on me yet, but it does leave a nasty burnt smell. Luckily, the smell doesn't stick with my hair and the burnt smell sorta leaves after a while. Anyway, I recommend it to anyone who is on a budget and is looking for something that works. It's pretty easy to use, and I was a tomboy at the time I got it anyway ^^;

Great for the price

I have had this for almost two years now. I love that it has the turbo button. It makes it heat up fast and gets hot enough to get those annoying kinks out. I don't like that your hair doesn't go through completely smooth and it does grab your hair. I also don't like how big it is, it can be difficult to get those shorter hairs in the front and it doesn't get close enough to your scalp. But for the price it's totally worth it!
