I've actually bought this flat iron twice. The first time I bought it, I used it for quite a long time, probably over 6 months to a year. It works great on my hard-to-manage and naturally curly hair, and left it nice and shiny-looking. It gets hot, stays hot, and just seemed to be the perfect flat iron for it's price. After a while though, the handles started sticking. You'd have to pull them open with a lot of force. Finally, a leg broke off completely. That's when I bought a new one. Since the first one lasted me so long without breaking and worked great for me throughout that time period, I decided to get the same flat iron again. The second time, it actually started sticking only about a month after I bought it. I learned a little knack to opening it to keep from having to pull it open and then break it, but after a while, I had no choice but to force it open by pulling. That's when it broke again. If you get this flat iron, know that it may work nicely for you for a while, but it'll definitely break eventually. |
