Both of my friends have this flat iron and it works great on both of them. one of them has complete curl & frizzy hair the other has natural straightness to her hair. & i have wavy THICK hair, and it is the best conair product i've ever used. compairing it to my 1 1/2 inch beded straightener this one is way better.it might pull but if you have a problem with it take out the combs it does work better with out the combs. the last time i had used this was on a rainy day (usually when i go out in the rain my hair gets curly and frizzy) but after using it i had straight hair the whole day, and it was shiny & smooth. thx conair!!

Ok I dont know what kind of hair everyone else has but I do know my hair and my hair is a frizzed out mess thick and frizzy. And this will be the best sraightner you can find for the price. unfortuantly it will stop working after 6 to 8 months but you shouldnt have any other problems, and if you go to a walmart or target they are 20 to 25 dollars. You really cant get any better

I've actually bought this flat iron twice. The first time I bought it, I used it for quite a long time, probably over 6 months to a year. It works great on my hard-to-manage and naturally curly hair, and left it nice and shiny-looking. It gets hot, stays hot, and just seemed to be the perfect flat iron for it's price. After a while though, the handles started sticking. You'd have to pull them open with a lot of force. Finally, a leg broke off completely. That's when I bought a new one. Since the first one lasted me so long without breaking and worked great for me throughout that time period, I decided to get the same flat iron again. The second time, it actually started sticking only about a month after I bought it. I learned a little knack to opening it to keep from having to pull it open and then break it, but after a while, I had no choice but to force it open by pulling. That's when it broke again. If you get this flat iron, know that it may work nicely for you for a while, but it'll definitely break eventually.

It heats up fast, but it stops heating up after about 6 months :(

this straightening iron was way better than the first one. it heats up quick, and does a good job at straightening. my hair is semi-thick and frizzy and after using it, its pretty straight and is even better if you use some type of serum like biosilk. however, it DOES pull at your hair at times which gets so annoying. However, after just 6 months of having it, it already broke on me. i would plug it in and the light would be on, but it wouldnt turn hot anymore.
