good straightener with a gross smell

I recieved this conair for my birthday a while back, and it was way better than my first, which was a cheap silver conair. At first when used, it comes out perfect with a couple strokes per group of hair. It makes your hair shiny, and most times relieves of frizz. As time progresses, the conair ceased to make your hair straight and shiny, but if you kept at it, will do a decent job. I also noticed that it started to smell gross and smokey. The only plus is that it always stays hot. Just beware of the burnt smell..it catches on to your hair as well. Frizz Therapy will help the frizz as well as the odor. Note: the combs attachted to the straightener do not work. The regular one pulls out your hair at times, and the bristled one adds to the frizziness.

It pulled my hair REALLY bad and left it fried. After only having it for a couple of months it wouldn't open without a lot of force until one day it broke in half.

THIS FLAT IRON IS THE BEST.I HAVE VERY THICK HAIR AND IN JUST SECONDS IT STRAIGHTENED IT PERFECTLY. IT REALLY DOESN'T TAKE LONG TO GET HOT,IN JUST 60 SECONDS IT GET REALYY HOT. ALL i COULD SAY IS IT WORKS REALLY GOOD AND EVERYONE SHOULD GET ONE.

When I first started using this flatiron it was alright, but it does take five minutes to heat up. As i have been using it for the past few months i have realized that it does not really do a good job. In order to efficiently straighten your hair it takes 20 minutes to heat up, it pulls at my hair, and while initially my hair looks good it does not last. Within 10 minutes and after stepping outside my hair has waves in it and the texure is not what i like at all. It is a decent flatiron for its cost, but i have learned that you really need to pay for a quality flatiron.

well, my mom bought this flat iron last year for christmas and at first it worked great but when i noticed that other people's hair was more stuck together and straighter than mine i knew that it wasnt good enough for mine maybe if you waited a day after you showered and then straightened it, it would look better but now its starting to die down on me, i want a new and better one but i wouldnt buy this if you have kinda thick yet manageable curly hair past your shoulders by 3 inches.
