This was my very first iron. I have very thick curly hair, that it ironed out, but it took me like 2 hours to do my whole head of hair. I also have a colic, that it wouldn't straighten out, so i would have to put the very top of my hair up (half up half down), it really was a bother, i only bought it because it was cheap, but i would highly recomend everyone that the cheapest isn't the best!

The comb on the side comes off when straightening hair and the ends of hair get snagged often. Overall, it does an okay job but the hair doesn't come out shiny like most others.

This flat iron was only alright for my thick, wavy hair. I think this would work better than it did for me for people with thinner hair. It didn't stay straight throughout the day, and made waves if I put my hair behind my ear. This flat iron took too long to heat up and to straighten my hair. It took a few times to go over my hair before it got straight. This Conair flat iron is not worth your money for those with thicker hair, but might be a bargain for those with thinner hair.
