I have bought in total 5 straightners. Most of them about $20 dollars and dont really work. When I bought this one I was really impressed. Yeah its $10 more, but its really worth it.
Cons:
Plates shift over time (just a little though) Burns your skin if not carefull Yanks hair if not carefull
Pros: Straightnes hair really well (I have really thick curly hair) Can Flip hair or have it stick straight Heats Fast Durable Not any more damaging than your average straightner! In fact, its less. Cheap price for such a gr8 str8ner.
Trust me! Buy it

i have tried numerous flat irons over the years- expensive ones, cheap ones. nothing straightens my hair like this one. yes, it needs to be replaced every one - two years, but that is expected with constant use of a product. this is a godsend, if it weren't for this product, ny hair would be horrible. if you know how to use it right, and take small chunks of hair, i've found that it will straighten everyone's hair to pin straight locks! i love it and recommend it to anyone who is a non believer in flat irons!

I have been using this straightner for about 2 years now. It works well but it really damages my hair. It causes split ends. After I use it my hair comes out nice and shiny. After I wash it comes out really messes up your hair. I would suggest buying a ceramic!

The Good - It's cheap compared to other irons; it works wonders when it's actually working; you can set the amount of heat you want for your hair; it's got a big plate so that you can do more hair at once and thus spend less time straightening. The Bad - your hair gets caught and pulled in the metal corners; it's pretty big so save quite a bit of room in your travel bag if you're willing to schlep it along; after about a year it just stops working, the light just does not turn on when it's plugged (this has actually happened to two of my friends as well). So basically, you have to decide whether or not you think spending how every much this iron costs you is worth the fact that you'll be buying a new iron in about a year.
