Same Problem Over and Over

I have purchased the Chi iron twice already with the last 5 years. I had my first one for about 3 years before it went out. Like many other customer complaints, it only worked when I turned and twisted the iron a certain way. There was probably a defect in the cord or something. I thought the one I purchased was a defect, but I loved the iron so much that I bought another one. Two years later, the same thing happened to my Chi flat iron. It works great (the first 1-2 yrs). The Chi Flat Iron is defected!

I love my Farouk Chi, even though I just bought my 3rd one. I have long thick curly hair, it takes about 30 min to an hour to finish my hair but when its done, WOW!!! Its a miricle worker and I live in some of the worst humidity. The first one I left on and it eventually burned out after a year and a half. The second one the cord twisted really bad and it killed the power, but I didn't hesitate to get another, its fully worth the money to me. And ladies if there is something that goes wrong Farouk does offer a one year warranty with it just make sure you save your box and reciept.

Bought my CHI TUrbo from Folica.com at the best price I could find w/free shipping in Dec '07.Heats up fast ! Does the best out of all irons straightening and smoothing my curly,course hair.Downside : on 4/23/08 it shut itself off,then on,then off.It seems like there's a short in the cord.Out of luck w/ the warranty since it was over a year, no reciept or box. Bought another one on sale at ULTA for $ 179 .Unhappy beacuse the plates are rough and ripped my hair.The product is too expensive to replace every year and half :-(

This is a pretty good flat iron. I have wavy long frizzy hair and it makes it shiny and smooth. I think the worse part about it is that it can only flat iron only a really small section of hair, so it takes about 30 min. to an hour to flat iron. It works really well if you have medium to short normal hair. If you have the money go and buy one it'll be worth it.

I bought a chi a pink one and used it once. I went to use it again and it wouldnt turn on the same day that i bought it. so i exchanged it got a new one and the same thing happend. It is the worst product that i have ever bought for $150 DO NOT BUY not worth the money.
