I love my CHI. It makes my hair straight. It's the reason why I have nice looking hair. My friends told me that I have the 'best' straightener. The only sucky part about it, is that mines doesn't have the temperature changer. But other than that, it's the best straightener I've used. :]

I recieved the red chi as a gift and totally love it. I've been using it for about 5 months now and my hair has never looked better. I also highly recommend using Chi Iron Guard spray and Silk Infusion because they will make your hair very soft but most importantly they protect it.

I have a CHI iron that I purchased a while back. I had one when they first came out also, years ago. But the same thing that happenned to that one is already happenning to the new CHI. The heat on light flickers then goes out. After some time it will come back on again. I assummed it was an auto shut-off feature to prevent over-heating, turns out it isn't as it happens before it is fully heated now. The new super-CHI (red) is even worse than the original version. I bought a CHI again with thoughts that they were the original ceramic so I should stick with it, but forget it. Other brands have taken the technology and really made some quality irons to replace and bury the original.

I just used one that my friend has, I LOVED it. I used it on my hair after already using one,cheap department store type, i had at home the differance was outstanding. I am going out to buy one this week!!!

I have been looking at all of the negative reviews. I guess I got lucky. I love my Chi. I have had it about 1 1/2 years now, and I have traveled with it and it has been dropped several times and I still haven't had any trouble. It makes my hair silky smooth and it stays straight on even the most humid days! Just make sure that when you use a flat iron, especially everyday like I do....make sure that you buy a good shampoo and conditioner for your hair. That will help to keep your hair strong and healthy. I use a deep conditioner once a week. Also, I use the Chi styling products for my hair, i.e., heat protectant.
