Bought my CHI TUrbo from Folica.com at the best price I could find w/free shipping in Dec '07.Heats up fast ! Does the best out of all irons straightening and smoothing my curly, course hair.Downside : on 4/23/08 it shut itself off, then on,then off.It seems like there's a short in the cord.Out of luck w/ the warranty since it was over a year, no reciept or box. Bought another one on sale at ULTA for $ 179 .Unhappy beacuse the plates are rough and ripped my hair. The product is too expensive to replace every year and half :-(

This is a pretty good flat iron. I have wavy long frizzy hair and it makes it shiny and smooth. I think the worse part about it is that it can only flat iron only a really small section of hair, so it takes about 30 min. to an hour to flat iron. It works really well if you have medium to short normal hair. If you have the money go and buy one it'll be worth it.

I used the Chi I got for a birthday present only 6 or 7 times and now it will not switch on anymore. I am very disappointed and I hope others do not buy their product.I am out $130.00 because I do not have a reciept. I believe we should all boycott any business that sells the Chi products. Most are FULLY aware of the quality issues and are still selling them, with little or no reguard to the costomer.

I purchased this iron from a salon for $150,it stopped heating up and would shut on and off by itself, the cord is very sensitive, when it did heat up properly it was a great iron. Problems started after only 2 mths of use. Rerplaced it with a Sedu revolution flat iron and after 3 weeks that iron stopped heating up completely and no longer worked. My friends who are stylists recommend the GHD flat iron,so I will try that now. A great site to use if you cannot get hair products at a discount is folica.com,quick shipping and great service. Good luck
