purchased after having to give up my GHD in England. the best and cheaper alternative to the GHD. works wonders (like the rest of the reviews say) but buyer beware of the other reviews about this product breaking within 1-2 years. granted, mine has ben through many a suitcase, and dropped a couple of times, but then one day, one ofthe hot plates just literally fell out. if it happens after the year warranty you're screwed. apparently, even if it happens before, they may not honor the warranty. I switched to a Rusk as an amergency straightener. it's a disaster. so if it's between the CHI and GHD, the CHI does the same job, just as well, for about $100 less. Just know that it won't last forever....

I have 2 chi's. The first one was purchased in November of 05 and the other in March of 07. They still both work as well as the day I bought them. I don't know what i would do without them, they make styling super easy! I recommend them to all my friends and those that compliment my hair.

OMG I loved my CHI flatiron I took good care of it && It lasted for about three years && I used almost everyday I love emm!!! Theyre Great!!

After 4 months the straightener won't even turn on..warranty not honored. Now I can't even find the repair address.

Chi's are great! i just ordered a pink one off of folcia.com and it was at a discount price, free shipping,and 2 free gifts. chi's are great but what ever u do, DO NOT WRAP THE CORD AROUND THE STRAIGHTER!! Chi's are awesome but just be carefull with them
