I have had this flat iron for almost 6 years now! I have dropped it, left it on for days and soaked it in water. It always works, heats up super fast, staightens beautifully, and doesn't damage your hair. I just bought this flat iron for my 13 year old sister. I recomend it to everyone!

can someone please tell me how damaging (safe), flat hair irons are in a long run. especially when used by girls, 13 yrs old.

I purchased my HAI 2 over 3 years ago (when it was $150!). I bought it because it was one of only a couple with the ceramic plates. I have thick hair with fine texture (lots of hair per square inch but fine). It leaves my hair smooth and silky every time. I'm very fussy about my hair (and probably you are too!). This is a great iron. I will say that my 1st HAI 2 died after 2 months. I returned it to the online company I purchased it from and it was replaced. Since then--zero problems. I'm very happy! :)
