Original vs. Turbo
Reviewed by: Brenna from , Tue Mar 29 2005

I had the Original Chi. It was amazing-best product I ever used to straighten my wavy long hair. It literally took 10 minutes. However, I went through 2 Original Chis in the span of two years. The switch broke off on the first one, so I was able to get a new Chi. (No warranty issues, completely replaced). But on the second Chi, after a year, the heat light starting to randomly shut off, and I literally had to hold the iron a certain way just to get it to heat up. I guess I got aggravated, I mean, I took really good care of it, and it was EXPENSIVE.
So after careful thought, I decided to get the Chi Turbo 2¡¨. It¡¦s better for long hair so I thought it would be better for me. I knew that the Chi was proving itself to be quite a hassle, but THE WORK IT DOES IS WORTH IT. Anyway, I got the Chi Turbo 2¡¨ yesterday and tried it out this morning. I would let it heat up a little big longer than the Original Chi if you want to be really happy with the results. It seems like a completely different type of iron. I got a lot of compliments at work already today, that my hair looks very healthy and shiny. I think the Chi Turbo takes better care of your hair.
No problems with the Turbo breaking YET. ļ But I will expect it and buy another after it does. Haha, I really will too!

Amazing Results!!!!

I have thick and very curly hair and when my sister in law introduced me to ceramic irons, I must say, I was utterly impressed. I have been using the standard steamed metal flat iron from Conair for the past 8 years. But when I first used the ceramic flat iron from Hair Art, I was thrilled. Immediately thereafter, I went searching for the best and most economical ceramic flat iron I can possibly find. After testing several brands, I concluded with the Big 2" CHI ceramic iron. The first time I used it, I was blown away and knew this was the iron for me. Even my husband noticed a difference in my hair. The result is so much silkier and softer than any other flat irons I've ever used. If you don't have one, I strongly suggest you go out and get one. CHI is absolutely the best product out there for people with curly and frizzy hair. Thanks for reading my review and God Bless!

I love the CHI!

I loved the Chi hair straightner. My hair is the curliest, thickest, frissiest hair you could ever imagine seeing. I was going to a party and I wanted my hair to stay straigh to my friend used her Chi on me and my hair didn't curl or frizz at all during the whole party. It was silky smooth and the straightner didn't burn my hair like the others. I love the Chi and I am getting one soon too!!!

I had really thick, curly hair and with the humidity my hair couldnt stand a chance to be pretty. I bought the Chi Turbo and it has changed my hair so much. Now its thinner and not nearly as curly as it was. I would reccommend the Chi Turbo to Everyone!!
